Why afterwards, and why not free.
We translate recordings after the stream from the complete file, not live. Live translation is built for instant latency and works on sentence fragments without full context; hosts often run it only in parts. From the finished recording we translate with full context, at higher quality and end to end, so it is more accurate and complete.
Every translation runs through paid AI models and costs us real money per minute. Platforms like YouTube fund their auto-captions through advertising and their own infrastructure, which is why they can offer them for free; we do not. We pass the cost on as tightly as possible: you pay only for the time actually spoken, per language, once per recording. Silence and pauses cost nothing. And once we're as big as YouTube, promise: you'll get your translations for free here too.

Common questions.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Both plans include all core features like the studio, access codes and branding. Pro raises the limits and unlocks API access plus AI add-ons.
How are the AI features billed?
Pay per use. Translation and subtitles are billed per minute and per language. You only pay for what's actually used. AI features are available in Pro and Custom.
What happens if I exceed the limits?
On Free, access is blocked once a limit is hit. You can upgrade to Pro at any time. If you need more than Pro covers, get in touch about Custom.
Monthly or yearly billing?
Both are available. Yearly saves 16 percent (Pro: 16 instead of 19 EUR per month, billed once a year up front). You can switch between intervals any time and we prorate the difference.
Can I cancel monthly?
Yes. Your Pro subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. After that no further charges apply. Yearly subscriptions run to the end of the term.
Do I need a credit card for Free?
No. Create an account and go.
Can I withdraw?
Consumers (§ 13 BGB) have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of contract. It applies regardless of billing interval, monthly or yearly. We also grant it contractually to businesses. It only expires if you actively switch interval or plan within the period. Details in our terms and the withdrawal notice.
What happens to wallet balance and my API key when I withdraw?
Any unused wallet balance is refunded in full to your original payment method when you withdraw from Pro, with the usual minimum waived. If the payout fails technically, the withdrawal still stands and you contact support for the remainder. A stored own API key (BYOK) is automatically deleted from our database when you move to Free.
How do I translate a recording afterwards?
Open the recordings list, pick "Translate" from a finished recording's menu, then choose subtitles or voice plus languages. Requirement: AI add-ons must be activated in Billing (Wallet or BYOK); without them the option doesn't appear. It is charged once per recording based on spoken time and language.
Which currency is billed?
We account internally in euros. At payment, our payment provider automatically converts to your local currency at the current rate, so the final amount may differ slightly.
