Create & manage channels

  1. 01

    Create a channel

Under Org sidebar → Channels click New. Set the title, pick visibility (public or private) and optionally a 6-digit PIN. Slug and URL are generated automatically: openbooth.io/[org]/streams/[slug].

    Heads up

Slugs can't be changed after creation. Want a different channel name? Create a new channel and archive the old one.
  2. 02

    Cover & description

In channel settings upload a cover image and add a short description. Both appear on the public page above the player and give listeners context.

  3. 03

    Channel status

    • Draft: in preparation, not publicly listed.
    • Published: listed on the public org page, can broadcast live.
    • Archived: removed from the listing, no longer broadcasts. Existing statistics are kept.
  4. 04

    Multiple channels in parallel

An organization can run multiple channels at once. The number of available channels and concurrently broadcasting channels depends on your plan. See the /pricing page for concrete limits.

  5. 05

    Archive or delete a channel

Via the channel context menu: Archive moves it to archived state, Delete removes it including the cover and isn't reversible.
